Mr. Eunice is a recognized authority on networked information technologies and their application. In his nearly twenty years as an analyst, he has authored hundreds of publications and client inquiry responses on system architectures, operating environments, middleware, security, management utilities, and development tools. His books include MVS vs Unix: Midnight in the Garden of Open and Proprietary, Enterprise Systems Management, Unix in Transition, Unix Matures, and Leaders in Object Technology. In addition to hands-on systems management experience, Mr. Eunice has taught and used programming languages as diverse as Ada, C, Java, Perl, Prolog, and Smalltalk. He has briefed clients and given presentations internationally. Mr. Eunice holds degrees in Mathematics/Computer Science and Philosophy.top

Gordon Haff

Mr. Haff focuses on computing infrastructure issues with a special emphasis on enterprise servers, datacenter interconnects, operating systems, server blades and appliances, virtualization, power and cooling, and the overall evolution of computing architectures. In addition to following Linux, he also covers broader Open Source and software trends including their implications for business models, software licensing, client devices, collaboration, and application development and deployment. Mr. Haff has more than 20 years of experience researching and using enterprise servers and workstations, their operating systems, architectures, processors, physical packaging, and supporting services. As a product-marketing manager at Data General, Mr. Haff helped launch many products and server designs including AViiON servers that ranged from large-scale NUMA-architecture Unix systems to rack-dense Windows-based servers. Mr. Haff holds engineering degrees from M.I.T. and Dartmouth, as well as an MBA from Cornell University. top

Mr. Laman has a degree in Computer Science and over 15 years of experience in various aspects of the computer industry including systems consulting, systems management, course development, training, customer/product support, and applications programming.top

Ms. Mason is an Illuminata founder and director. In the early years Ms. Mason handled both production (design, layout, illustration and editing) and business (finance and administration) roles. She now works primarily on special projects and, as member of the Board of Directors, oversees the company's strategic decisions. Ms. Mason attended Florida Atlantic University, where she majored in Mathematics and Computer Science, and Carnegie Mellon University where she majored in Philosophy with a focus on Formal Logic and Computation. Ms. Mason has also studied French, German and Latin, and is fluent in Spanish. top

Ms. Olsen's natural talent captures the Illuminata house style that brings IT issues to life through the use of illustrations, graphics, and humor. She is responsible for the illustration and layout of Illuminata research and web development. Prior to Illuminata, Ms. Olsen designed web sites and created original artwork for a variety of service and retail businesses. She holds Bachelors in Fine Arts from Rivier College and an Associate in Art from Anoka Ramsey College. top

Mr. Webster is a nationally-known expert on storage and information management. He has analyzed, written about, spoken on, and consulted in the storage arena for over 16 years. As Principal IT Advisor in our Information Architectures practice, he is responsible for on-going analysis of enterprise- and Internet-scale storage and information management topics, including storage utility and grid services, integration strategies, storage-server evolution, storage virtualization, ILM, objects-based storage, shared file systems, and distributed data protection. Mr. Webster's most recent book is Inescapable Data ­ Harnessing the Power of Convergence. Mr. Webster's prior positions include Senior Analyst at Data Mobility Group; Vice President, Marketing, for Storage Computer Corporation; Director of Computing Research at the Yankee Group; and Senior Analyst at the Clipper Group and International Data Corporation. In addition to being past Chairman of the Greater Boston Regional Computer Measurement Group, he is a member of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) Storage Management Forum and serves as liaison to the SNIA End User Council (EUC). Mr. Webster is a featured speaker at industry events and conferences, including Storage Networking World, Storage Management, Storage World Conference, and COMDEX.
